Al Fayha have installed Greek coach Christos Kontis as manager for the 2024-25 Roshn Saudi League season.
The Al Majma’ah side confirmed the news on their social media accounts on Monday, with Kontis succeeding in the dugout Vuk Rasovic, who departed the club after guiding them to ninth in the 2023-24 campaign. Kontis, 49, has signed a one-year deal.

Although Al Fayha marks his first taste of RSL football, the former defender has a wealth of experience in the region. Having started his coaching career in 2011 as assistant to Ivan Jovanovic at APOEL FC in Greece, Kontis then served once more as assistant to the Serbian at UAE club Al Nasr from 2013 to 2016.
During those three years in Dubai, Al Nasr won the GCC Champions League, the UAE President’s Cup and the League Cup.

After returning to his homeland with Olympiacos, again as assistant coach, Kontis moved back to the Emirates in 2019 as manager of top-flight side Hatta – his first full managerial role. He left the role the following year and later was employed as both assistant coach and caretaker coach at Greek giants Panathinaikos, leading them to the Greek Cup crown in May.
Al Fayha confirmed Kontis will arrive in Riyadh on Monday to oversee the team’s preparations for the new RSL season.
