AL KHALEEJ CLUB HISTORY
Hailing from the fishing town of Saihat on the East Coast, Al Khaleej - literally translated: “The Gulf” - have spent eight seasons in the top tier since their debut in the 2003-04 campaign.
Their highest finish came in 2015-16, when they were seventh. However, they were relegated in 2017 before regained Roshn Saudi League status four years later.
Panathinaikos legend Georgios Donis currently manages the team and has among his squad Greek international midfielder Dimitrios Kourbelis and Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic.
