Al Ittihad

AL ITTIHAD CLUB HISTORY

Founded almost a century ago, Al Ittihad are the oldest surviving club in the Kingdom, and as such have one of the largest fan bases in Saudi football.

They are also the inaugural champions of the Saudi Pro League in its current iteration, in 2008-09, a title they won again in 2022-23. They are the only club in history to win back-to-back AFC Champions League titles, doing so in 2004 and 2005.

Al Ittihad are currently home to some of the biggest names in football, with 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema their captain and FIFA World Cup winners Laurent Blanc and N’Golo Kante, among others.
