Al Wehda have installed German Josef Zinnbauer as their new manager.
The former St Gallen and Lokomotiv Moscow head coach, 54, replaces in the role Georgios Donis, who departed at the end of last season and has since been appointed by fellow Roshn Saudi League side Al Khaleej.
Zinnbauer arrives at Al Wehda having guided Morocco’s Raja Casablanca to an unbeaten double last term. The North African giants won both the Moroccan top flight and the Morocco Throne Cup, sealing the former by a single point.

In 41 matches in charge of Raja Casablanca from his appointment last summer, Zinnbauer won 29, drew 11 and suffered only one defeat.
Previous to that, the former midfielder managed Hamburg in the German Bundesliga, Swiss side St Gallen, Orlando Pirates in South Africa, and Russia’s Lokomotiv Moscow.
Al Wehda finished 13th in last season’s RSL, four points above the relegation zone. They begin the new campaign on August 22, when they host Al Riyadh on the 2023-24 season’s opening day.
