With the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations set to kick-off in Côte d'Ivoire on Saturday, twenty-five players from the Roshn Saudi League have been called up to represent their respective countries in the month-long continental competition.
The 25 players, a whopping 150% increase from the previous edition in 2021, will wear the colours of 12 different national teams, with Senegal and Cameroon the most represented by RSL players, with four each, followed by the hosts Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia and Morocco, who feature three RSL players each.
Asir rivals Abha and Damac are sending the most players to AFCON, with three from each team, while each of Al Ahli, Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Hazem and Al Taawoun will have two representatives in the competition.
The 25 RSL representatives include six goalkeepers, five defenders, three midfielders and 11 forwards.

Morocco: Yassine Bounou (Al Hilal – Goalkeeper), Munir Mohammedi (Al Wehda – Goalkeeper), Romain Saiss (Al Shabab – Defender).
Algeria: Moustapha Zeghba (Damac – Goalkeeper), Riyad Mahrez (Al Ahli – Forward).
