Al Fayha have parted company with manager Christos Kontis following the club’s difficult start to the 2024-25 Roshn Saudi League.
The Al Majma’ah side, currently second from bottom after 12 rounds, announced on Tuesday that the Greek coach had departed by mutual consent.

A statement on the club’s official social media channels read: “The Al Fayha board has ended the contract with Greek head coach Christos Kontis by mutual agreement. Alexandros Tziolis will lead the team in their match against Damac in the 13th round of the Roshn Saudi League.
“The board thanked Mr. Kontis for his work with the team and wished him success in the future.”
Appointed in the summer, Kontis endured a difficult debut season in the Kingdom, winning one of 12 league matches. Last Thursday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Al Orobah marked Al Fayha’s third successive loss.
Al Fayha next take on Damac on Thursday before the RSL pauses for its winter break until January 9.
