Al Wehda

AL WEHDA CLUB HISTORY

One of the oldest clubs in Saudi Arabia, Al Wehda are based in the holy city of Mecca.

After suffering relegation from the Roshn Saudi three times in eight seasons, they are enjoying their third straight campaign in the top flight. The club’s highest finish is third, in 2006-07.

Odion Ighalo, the former Manchester United striker and Nigeria international, can claim to be Al Wehda’s most recognisable current star, although there’s also Australia international Craig Goodwin and emerging Iraq tyro Youssef Amyn.
