Cristiano Ronaldo picked up the Roshn Saudi League 2023-24 Top Scorer award after yet another record-breaking season in Al Nassr colours.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner finished the season with 35 goals, breaking the league’s single-season scoring record. That mark previously sat at 34, set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018-19 campaign.
In his first full season in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo also added 11 assists to register an all-time RSL record 46 goal contributions in 31 appearances. The Portuguese had the highest goals-per-game ratio among players with more than one goal, while his four hat-tricks this season are the most in the competition.
Thanks to his 2023-24 tally, the Portugal and Al Nassr captain became the first player in history to win the top-scorer award in four different domestic leagues, having collected the same accolade in the English Premier League, in the 2007-08 season while at Manchester United, then finished as top scorer three times in La Liga in Real Madrid colours. Ronaldo also topped the 2020-21 Serie A scoring charts with Juventus.
The all-time top scorer in men's international football and its most-capped player, too, the 39-year-old is gearing up to represent his country at Euro 2024, set to be his 10th major international tournament.
