Roshn Saudi League trio Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Neves and Otavio have been called up to Portugal’s 26-man squad for Euro 2024.
Al Nassr captain Ronaldo is set for a record 11th major international tournament, having first represented Portugal in Euro 2004, where they finished runners-up to Greece. Since then, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner appeared in five FIFA World Cups and four more European Championships, winning the title at Euro 2016.

Ronaldo is already the most-capped male footballer in history, and the all-time highest international scorer in men's football with 128 goals in 206 Portugal appearances. The 39-year-old leads the scoring charts in the 2023-24 RSL with 33 goals and has recently broken the record for most goal contributions in the competition, with 44.
Portugal manager Roberto Martinez named Ronaldo’s club teammate Otavio in the squad set to compete in Group F in Germany alongside Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic.
Midfielder Otavio joined Al Nassr from Porto last summer and has been in hot form, registering nine goals and five assists for the RSL runners-up. The 29-year-old has been capped 20 times.
Al Hilal playmaker Neves rounds off the three RSL representatives in the Portugal camp. The former Porto and Wolverhampton Wanderers captain is currently second on the 2023-24 RSL assists charts with 11 goals created. In his debut season in the competition, Neves has also chipped in with three goals, helping Al Hilal seal the title.
Portugal kick off their Euro 2024 campaign on June 18 when they take on Czech Republic at Leipzig Stadium. They then face Turkey at Dortumund’s Signal Iduna Park on June 22, before concluding the group stage against debutants Georgia at Schalke’s Veltins Arena on June 26.
