As we head to the final straight of the Roshn Saudi League season, attention can turn too to the goalkeepers who will have a vital say in where their team finish in the standings.
We look at the numbers behind the top-five performing goalkeepers in the division at present.
Yassine Bounou - Al Hilal
With three Goalkeeper of the Month awards to his name, it’s no wonder that “Bono” leads the way in the RSL. The former Sevilla stopper has brought a sense of calm to the Al Hilal backline and has been the bedrock to their current 34-game, world-record winning run. The underlying stats are impressive also, with 14 clean sheets this season and a 77.61 percent save percentage (54 saves) - both of which are the leading tallies in the division.
Jacob Rinne - Al Fateh
The Swedish goalkeeper has missed only one RSL match all season, proving an integral part of Al Fateh's fine campaign thus far. In his second term with the Al Ahsa club, Rinne has contributed to a solitary clean sheet, but don't let that fool you: he has a save percentage of 72.03% from a whopping 105 saves. It ranks currently as the second-best in the league. Sitting seventh in the table, Al Fateh are looking up - thanks in large part to their dependable No.1.

Ibrahim Sehic - Al Khaleej
In his debut season in the RSL, the Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper has taken to life in the Saudi Arabia top-flight pretty well indeed. Two of Sehic's six clean sheets from 20 appearances have come in the past two weeks as Al Khaleej have moved up into 10th. Their stopper's save percentage comes in at 70.59%, bettered only by Bono and Rinne. He’s made 60 saves to this point in the season.

Munir Mohamedi - Al Wehda
The Al Wehda goalkeeper may have had only two clean sheets this season from his 21 appearances, but he has been invaluable for the Mecca-based side, who are currently 12th, seven points clear of the relegation zone. In fact, had it not been for Mohamedi, his team could have been in a much more perilous position. On course to beat his appearances from last season (22), the Saudi has a save percentage of 69.75% (83 saves) - underlines how vital he is for Al Wehda.

Paulo Victor - Al Ettifaq
Al Ettifaq have enjoyed a stellar second half of the season, and that is thanks in no small part to the efforts of Victor. The Brazilian, now in his second season in Dammam, has racked up nine clean sheets, four of which have come in 2024. Victor is also fifth in the save percentage index, with the goalkeeper stopping 69.23% of all shots he has faced (63 saves).
